General Manager/Tour Booker

Simon Friend founded SFE in 2015. Prior to that he was Producer for Theatre Royal Bath, developing and producing the theatre’s commercial content from 2010-2015. Simon is a member of the League of Independent Producers.

Forthcoming projects include: The Height Of The Storm by Florian Zeller (Wyndham’s Theatre); The Girl On The Train (West Yorkshire Playhouse & UK tour); The Closet by Douglas Carter Beane (Williamstown Theatre Festival); The Messiah by Patrick Barlow (UK tour & West End); Life Of Pi by Yann Martel adapted by Lolita Chakrabarti.

Past productions include: West End: The Philanthropist (Trafalgar Studios); Million Dollar Quartet (Royal Festival Hall); The Father (Wyndham’s Theatre & Duke Of York’s Theatre); Bad Jews (Arts Theatre); Speed-The-Plow (Playhouse Theatre); Relative Values (Harold Pinter Theatre); Fences (Duchess Theatre).

UK tours include: The Graduate; Million Dollar Quarter (UK Tour and New Zealand); Bad Jews; Saturday Night; The Hypochondriac; Things We Do For Love; Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.

SFE is also an independent general management company, currently managing The Wipers Times and Trial by Laughter, both on UK tour.
